Joe Baldwin with a maunsel twentySituated in the grounds of Maunsel house,North Newton is Maunsell Ponds this a complex of 3 ponds one of which is a heavily stocked match lake. The other two lakes one of which is a predominantly carp lake which also contains some nice tench and some huge perch. And the other is Lodge Lake which is to the left of the match lake this lake contains roach.rudd,tench and carp.

To get to this venue you take the Glastonbury road (A361) from Taunton, take your first left after you have crossed the canal at durston. Keep on this road, cross over the canal again at Maunsel lock. Keep on this road for approx 1/2 a mile until you come to brickyard farm on your left. The entrance to the lakes is on your right (signposted)
