Since the official opening of this venue back in May of this year Wych Lodge Lake has started to mature very nicely. The paths around the lake are due to be completed at the end of October and 3 more swims will be made available to the left of the disabled platforms.
Wych Lodge Lake was stocked with 26 large carp nearly 1 year ago with the largest being 18lbs at the time of stocking. these fish have matured very nicely.
Carp to just over 25lbs are being caught regularly at this venue and bags of over 100lbs of silver fish in a session are not uncommon.
There is an antisceptic dip tank in place at this venue please dip your nets it is there to protect your fishery.

After many years of hard work and dedication Mr Andy Forward has stepped down as the clubs match secretary and also from the executive committee. The club would like to thank Andy for all his time and committment to the club over the years and wish him good luck for the future.
As from the start of the 2009 season you will be able to purchase all club licences online with the exception of night permits.Please be aware that all permits purchased online are subject to an extra fifty pence to cover administration costs.
To purchase your licence you will have to provide your name address, date of birth and a contact telephone number, email address and which type of licence you require. you will then be required to enter your credit card details. Once payment is confirmed you will be able to print out a copy of your licence and you will receive confirmation via the email address supplied. If you do not have a printer please continue with your online application and contact the club secretary on 01823 664388 and a paper licence will be sent to you
Licence prices held
Licence prices have been held for the second consecutive year making Taunton Angling Association one of the best value for money clubs in the south west of england.
The club is pleased to announce that with immediate effect Mr.Mike Hewitson is the new club president and we would all like to wish Mike the best of luck in his new role.
Taunton Angling Association have stocked both Maunsel and Thurlbear Ponds.
Maunsel carp lake has been stocked with 500 8-10" carp and also 568lbs of 2-3lb Carp. The match lake has also been stocked with 200lbs of bream of various sizes. Thurlbear has been stocked with nearly 200lbs of bream ranging from 10 ounces to 8lbs in weight.
